The Pharmaceutical Care Lyceum is a unique, three day, all-teach all-learn conference held in a simplistic retreat-like environment nestled in the natural winter wonderland of east-central Minnesota. The Pharmaceutical Care Lyceum is known for creating an environment for pharmacists to be actively engaged, open and prepared to share ideas, challenge current practice, and envision what is possible. This is achieved through discussion-based sessions, active learning groups, and an environment that is relaxed allowing for creativity. Each attendee (or group) is required to submit a session they would like to present with their application. These engaging professional sessions are dovetailed with opportunities to connect with nature and be active.
The purpose of the Pharmaceutical Care Lyceum is to illuminate issues related to the practice of pharmaceutical care, foster collegiality among students, faculty and practitioners, and to invigorate the practice as the cornerstone of pharmacy. The conference is intentionally kept small to allow for meaningful connections amongst participants. The conference will be capped at around 50 attendees.
This year we are pleased to announce the Lyceum will be hosted at Osprey Wilds in Sandstone, MN
"[My favorite part of the Lyceum is] the casual atmosphere: wearing comfortable clothes, having time to just talk with others, access to snacks and drinks. This atmosphere helped make it easier to connect with others." -Lyceum Attendee
"[The Lyceum was] enjoyable and rejuvenating [for] reconnection with colleagues and reconnection with the big picture of why and how I practice." -Lyceum Attendee
